TOT'ing

Trick or Treating with some of our favorite Florida friends!  We are so thankful they joined us all the way down in our neighborhood!  :)

Friends for life

These two, seriously, are so lucky!  They have been able to spend so much time together and not just have sleep overs, but entire weekends together, at just 6 years old!  We are spoiled to live so close to best friends!  Her mom and I were best friends in high school and now live just 40 minutes away from each other, so the girls became instant friends!

Love these 6 kids with all of my heart!

Daddy's bday

So strange that it says 36!  Hmmmmm, forever 32, not 36!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Prek party

Sutton and his prek buddies at their school party!

1st grade party

Party time for 1st grade!  I love to help out in the classroom...and I'm pretty sure she thinks it's pretty cool too!  :)  I think I may get just as excited as the kids to get to go in for a party!

3rd grade party

Partying with the 3rd graders!  I love that we are invited into the school to do these kinds of things, even in 3rd grade!  :)  It's great to be able to see Brookston in his class, with his friends, and in his element!

First tot gym session

Rinley completed her first session of gymnastics.  Or "nastics" as she calls it.  I'd say bars/rings are her favorite.

It took her SEVERAL weeks to warm up to her coach, but she loved every minute!

Playing drums at the end!

Her award at the end of the session!  YAY Rinley!

3rd tooth

There goes another tooth!

On the way to gymnastics, showing off her toothless grin!

Pumpkin patch

A visit to the pumpkin patch.  We have Kelci with us, our old neighbor.  Kaisley was hanging out with Olivia all weekend, so she wasn't there!

Fall fest

Fall Festival with 3 of my 4 kiddos!  (Kaisley was at Olivia's for the weekend!)

Brookston made it through the maze!

Snowballs!

Next son date

Putt putt golf, followed by ice cream!  A fun mommy/son date for me and Sutton!  I didn't get any putt putt pictures, but of course, ice cream is always on the menu when we go here.  I knew Sutton would pick putt putt, it's always his #1 choice.  This time, I was worried we'd get rained out.  About half way we did, so we came in for our ice cream.  Just like South Florida, it was done about 10 minutes later and we were able to finish out game back outside!

Followed by Pancakes!  :)  Because ice cream and then pancakes just makes sense!

Daughter date

Kaisley picked roller skating for her mommy/daughter date!  It was a bit harder than either of us expected, but we had a great time anyway.  You could tell how much better Kaisley got each and every time we went around! Of course there was also pizza and arcade games.  Plus prizes, always have to be prizes!  LOL!

But there was also rolling around in a big, huge ball!

Date with my son

After seeing this place for years, we finally went, just me and B for a mother/son date night!  We had a great time together...jumping, then laser tag, then games.  Oh and of course some ice cream afterwards!  :)  I'm so thankful to have opportunities like this.  Having 4 kids, we definitely need to slow down some times and be able to focus on just one kid.  Make sure they feel important and special.  I could focus 100% on him and listen to his full story...every little detail about his made up game he though about, or how crazy it would be if we were made out of coins, or if an alien on mars would...fill in the blank!

Thankfully we've been able to do these dates several times!  It's great!

Iguana spotting

Long story here, but....I was driving to prek pick up yesterday and out of the corner of my eye, I see a huge iguana.  Bigger than ever before.  In my head, I think to stop and pull over to take a picture, but it's too far back, so I keep driving.  Thinking about this thing...it was huge, and had an orange color to it.  Crazy!

So, picking up S at school and driving home...I see it across the road.  Ahhh, I need proof.  Yes, I've lived here for 3 years...but I need that picture!  I u turn, pull over, get out of my car and go for a picture.  But I scare him off and really didn't capture anything.  Come to think of it...I don't think it was even the same one.  Because zooming in, the one I saw in this picture, in the shadows as it ran off was a pretty normal sized one, not with the spikes on top and not orange in color.  So...missed it.  That wasn't it this time.

Today, driving to prek again, in the same area...there he was!!!! Again.  I pull over immediately, start snapping pictures quickly, but the shadows and a cell phone trying to take zoomed in pictures of a moving creature...it wasn't the greatest.  But, I was able to say for 100% sure that it was indeed orange-ish in color and it was as big as a remembered!

After prek pick up, I knew I couldn't be so late getting the big kids off the bus.  Yesterday I barely made it home before them.  So today, I went straight home, got them in the car and said we are going on an iguana hunt!   :)

Immediately again, spotted him.  This time I was close, got the great picture below!  YAY!  Isn't he amazing!

Just for reference...this was the iguana I spotting in our neighborhood almost 3 years ago.  It was exciting to see this little guy back in the day!
