Daddy daughter dance in NC

Talk about great timing.  Kaisley's school had a daddy daughter dance just after arriving at school!  She even had the blue dress to go with the theme of snow!

Snow #1 and snow #2

January 17th - Just 2 weeks after moving to North Carolina we saw our first snow flurries!  It wasn't much, but it was exciting for these Florida kids!  While Brookston and Kaisley have seen a little snow while in Louisiana, it's nothing they remember.  So, this was a BIG deal...and their main source of excitement for moving to NC!

Round two of snow was a little more exciting.  This was January 22nd and this was caused school to be cancelled.  There was also sledding...although we have been here such a short amount of time, we had to really reach for ideas...plastic bins, cardboard boxes, pool blow up toys!  :)

Bye Florida, Hello North Carolina

Good bye Florida.  It's been an amazing 3 years.  We've had a lot of fun in the sun, we've met some amazing people, we've learned so much, and we've enjoyed every minute to the fullest.  No regrets.  We will sure miss the people and even the beautiful and amazing town.  I certainly realize the amazing relationships I've made with several people when I realized how hard it has been to walk away and say good bye!  We've added to our family while in Florida, our kids have grown so much while in Florida.  This was our home and we cherish so many pieces of this time in our lives!

Hello North Carolina...it's great to be here!  We are excited to see what the future holds for our family!

We have been so spoiled this year with amazing teachers.  Seriously, this semester has been such a blessing to know our kids are so loved, cared for, and encouraged at school.  Each of them have grown so much in 4 months and leaving these schools breaks my heart!  We are so thankful!

Man are we going to miss all of these sweet faces!!!

Prek Christmas show

Sutton in his prek Christmas show.  He was one of the wise men, in the blue.  I adore this Christmas show!  He was adorable and appeared to have a blast.  Unfortunately Richard was already in North Carolina, working, but the actually live streamed it, so he got to see the whole thing.  HOW COOL!!!

This picture is just adorable to me.....Our 3 big kids and this family of 3 kids are all in class together this year!  Brookston with their daughter, Kaisley with their daughter, and Sutton with their Sutton.  Kaisley actually enjoyed her preschool 3 and prek 4 and first grade with this friend!  I'm pretty sure this was Kaisley's first friend when we first moved to Florida!  And then Sutton and his buddy were in their 3 year old and prek 4 class together as well!  LOVE IT!

Boat parade

I'm so glad we finally made it to the boat parade!  It was a blast to watch, but also so fun to be with Ms. Alesia, someone we adore so much.  Plus, her kids were home from college, so all of my kids had a blast with her big kids!
