Brookston just finished 2 weeks of swim lessons at Crawfish Aquatics. He went from basically freaking out when water touched his face (yes, even in the bathtub....still!) to doing quite well, for a beginner! At this point, he worked a lot on kicking while floating and adding in a little of the arms in the last couple days.
Parents were not allowed into the pool area, until the last day. A lot of kids freaked out, including mine, for the first day or three! But, on the last day, it was show off day and most kids seemed pretty happy and ready to show off their newest skills!
So, the deck was filled with tons of observers snapping pictures and video...including me! And again, Daddy was able to join us for the 40 minute lesson! YAY!!!!

love it! He's doing really great for just 2 weeks of lessons! I can't wait to get Travis to the pool to see how he likes swimming. He loved being in the water last year but we didn't try any actual "swimming skills" with him. He mostly just hung out in his float or was held by someone. He'll blow bubbles in the bathtub - we'll see what he thinks when he's in a big pool!
He's doing amazing! I really want to get Sara enrolled in swim lessons, but I just haven't made it my #1 priority. Hopefully that will change this summer.

Did you have Danielle L? That's who Charlotte has! She finishes her two weeks this Thursday.
I know it was Danielle, I can't remember if it was "L", but if she looks familiar, I'm guessing two Danielle's don't look THAT alike! :) Brookston seemed to really like her!
